Flood victims and elected officials.

Governor  Rendell,
 
As you  met  recently with NY and NYC Mayor Bloomberg, did you request that the Federal money for infrastructure and projects be used for river and stream gauges, that NYCDEP wants to elininate?

These are needed to measure flooding and are also needed for the Flood Model, which will tell us what impact the NYC Reservoirs had on our three devasting floods! Why would NYCDEP not want this vital information?

How about also using the money for Flood control improvement of the three NYC Reservoirs, such as : Flood Control Gates, or larger release values at the bottom of the reservoirs, so it does not take three weeks to lower the reservoirs to create a void when a large rain event is fast approaching, and the reservoirs are full and spilling!

This use of  Federal money just might save lives and property of your citizens in Pennsylvania,  as NYC CONTINUES to BE ALLOWED, to keep their reservoirs full and overflowing!!

Please help us before you may have to do a PR Flood Tour along the Delaware Riverfront Towns!  Your presence may not be encourging to many of us as we shovel out mud for the fourth time!
